Common Ground is looking for enthusiastic people who have an appreciation for working with the general public in a beautiful natural setting. All applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Pass BCI and FBI background checks.
- Pass First Aid and CPR Training/Tests.
- Complete a Common Ground Application.
- Have an appreciation for people and nature.
- Be willing to work outdoors in most types of weather.
Summer Camp Assistant Camp Director
The Assistant Camp Director is responsible for assisting the Camp Director in furthering the mission of Common Ground Summer Day Camps through the planning and delivery of program activities, management of the overall camp operation at the direction of the Camp Director.
Summer Camp Teen Adventure Specialist
The Teen Adventure Specialist is responsible for leading all aspects of the Teen Adventure Camp (TAC) Program.
Summer Camp Peacemaker Specialist
The Peacemaker Specialist is responsible for planning and leading cooperative and teambuilding activities promoting healthy conflict resolution skills.
Summer Camp Music and Drama Specialist
The Music and Drama Specialist is responsible for creating and implementing a creative arts program using music, drama, and creative movement reflecting the weekly themes of Summer Camp.
Summer Camp Horse Riding Specialist
The Horse Riding Specialist is responsible for caring for the two horse onsite, and developing and implementing a safe and engaging riding program for groups of campers.
Summer Camp Arts and Crafts Specialist
The Arts and Crafts Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing craft projects that reflect weekly themes of Earth Camp for groups of campers.
Summer Camp General Counselor
General Counselors are the primary caregivers for each camper and responsible for the well-being of an assigned group of campers, guiding them through daily activities and fostering a sense of cooperation, respect, and community.
Low Ropes Facilitator
Facilitators will instruct and supervise a group of up to 16 participants through a variety of experiential activities focused on goal setting, trust, teambuilding, communication and personal growth in a non-competitive environment. Facilitators will participate in setting up, facilitating and cleaning up after programs while maintaining a climate of positivity and risk management.
High Ropes Facilitator
Facilitators will instruct and supervise a group of up to 16 participants through high ropes activities focused on goal setting, trust, teambuilding/team bonding, communication and personal growth in a non-competitive environment. Facilitators will participate in setting up, facilitating and cleaning up after programs while maintaining a climate of positivity and risk management.
Zipline Canopy Tour Guide
We are seeking enthusiastic people, with a love for the outdoors, to add to our exceptional staff. Guides are responsible for providing our participants with an exciting and informative zipline canopy tour experience, while providing the highest level of professionalism and positive reinforcement. A willingness to share your knowledge and experiences with others, a passion to learn more, and an interest in working at heights is essential.
