Seasons – New Beginnings

“Life is a learning process, and changes can be wonderful opportunities for growth. Don’t be afraid of change! Embrace it and grow!” -Nishan Panwar

As the summer comes quickly to an end and with the fall season right around the corner, I find myself in a very reflective mood. Fall is about slowing down and letting go, yet life seems to be moving at a faster and faster pace as I get older. It is increasingly more challenging to slow down to enjoy the moment. No matter how hard I try, I haven’t been able to figure out how to slow time down or stop things from changing. Maybe that’s where I have been missing out? It’s less about slowing time down and avoiding change but more about how I choose to experience the changes my life.

We all have the power to choose what we want to focus on and to create the life we want. The trick seems to be setting our attention on those things we want to grow in our lives, while letting go of those things that are not in line with the life we want to create. We are continuously recreating versions of ourselves based on our decisions and actions. Unfortunately we don’t always recognize or aren’t fully aware of those changes within ourselves. Life can be full of great lessons if we pay attention to what it is trying to teach, which is unique to each one of us.

Just like the changing seasons that we experience, our lives provide opportunities to transform, to let something go, or to begin a new chapter in the story of our life. The next season will come whether we are ready for it or not. We can slow time down by being more present in any given moment, learn from our experiences, and celebrate milestones in our lives.

Food for thought, like the old saying goes – If we don’t hold the pen that writes our life story, someone else will! Enjoy the journey. Check in with yourself as often as possible. Your next season is right around the corner.
