Important Update on the 2020 Season

Hello friends –

As always, we hope this message finds you safe and healthy.

We want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we carefully weighed several factors impacting our ability to open this season.  After much consideration, we are suspending summer camps, Common Ground Canopy Tours, Life School, and both our Team Building Adventure and Tree Climbing Adventure for the remainder of the 2020 season.

This is not an easy decision. We were so excited to celebrate our 25th season of camp this summer, to lead you on new adventures in the treetops and more. We miss everyone, but ultimately the health and safety of our guests and our staff take the highest priority.

We believe wholeheartedly in the mission of our work and we look forward to staying connected with you this year while we prepare for an amazing 2021 season! So, check back in with us here on our website, follow us on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and make sure you’re information is up to date on our mailing list.

We do hope to host our annual Firewalk this September. Tickets are still available on commongroundcenter.org. Also, we plan to offer a new session of Mindful Leadership coming this fall.

Did your family register for camp?

If so, there are several options available to you regarding your registration fees. Once you’ve reviewed your options and have made a decision, please send your request to camp@commongroundcenter.org. Your options are listed below.

  1. You can choose to have your camp fees saved as a credit for the 2021 season.
  2. You can donate the value of your registration fees to Common Ground.  All donations are tax-deductible and The Community Foundation of Lorain County will match your donation!
  3. You may request a full refund.
  4. You may split your fees between a donation and a refund.

Did you register your group for Team Building, Tree Climbing, or Zipline Canopy Tours Adventures?

If so, over the next few weeks we will reach out to rebook your adventure or make other arrangements.

We know that this is not the outcome any of us hoped for, but we look forward to welcoming you all to Common Ground once again when the time is right. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Your friends at Common Ground
