Common Ground is highly selective in screening applicants. All of our counselors and specialists are at least 18 years of age and the majority are college students studying childhood education, social work, psychology and other related subjects. All staff go through an extensive application, interview and training process. Reference and criminal background checks are performed on prospective staff and we require all staff to be CPR and First Aid certified. We do a week of comprehensive training with staff and mid-summer evaluations are performed.
