FIREWALK WITH US!

COME, WALK ON FIRE      Got Fears?  Face them!

It's the 4th year of the Annual Gregg Gilder Memorial Firewalk.
Is this your year to join us?

firewalk

This annual transformational experience where participants learn to face and overcome their fears, and reach their full potential for greatness!  At the conclusion of an inspirational and interactive presentation, participants will have an opportunity, if they choose,  to walk on fire!

Have you ever been faced with something that you didn't think you could handle? Does a fear of the unknown keep you from doing new things? Are you looking for a way to enhance your individual sense of wholeness and well-being? If you've answered "yes" to any of these questions, then the Firewalk at Common Ground is for you!

Firewalking is an ancient practice utilized through the ages by shamans, priests, and ordinary folks both as a religious ritual and as a healing ceremony. Scientists believe that the ability to "walk on fire" is a simple matter of physics, however, Common Ground conducts the program as a technique for personal growth. Firewalking can demonstrate how our thoughts impact everything else in our lives. It's a wonderful example of the mind-body connection at work.  Participants of all ages are welcome; children may walk with parental consent and supervision.

Facilitated by Dave Tuscany, a certified fire walk instructor, returns again this year to lead the experience.

Our Monthly Community Drum Circle is set for the 3rd Wednesday of every month.  Join us for one of our most popular Body, Mind, and Spirit programs and another great year of fun, creativity, and personal growth with Common Ground's Community Drum Circle.

A community drum circle is a group of people who come together to make in-the-moment music. No musical experience is necessary and beginners are always welcome. Discovering Your Natural Ease of Being and Movement - Alexander Technique

This workshop deals less with what you do than how you do it. If you are like most people, you are unaware that you hide your resources for ease of being and movement, and set off a cycle which hides them even further. In this workshop, you will discover how to change that cycle from harmful to helpful. As you do so, you will improve your coordination and ease of movement, increase your energy level, and relieve tension, pain and stress. The Alexander Technique shows you how to allow a system of reflexes that support you in all activity. This program is open to and appropriate for everyone.

Facilitator Jim Froelich has studied the Alexander Technique for more than 30 years and graduated in 1997 at Cambridge, MA from a three-year teacher's course. He has taught for 10 years in Ohio and has helped office workers, physical therapists, horse riders, musicians, and others go about their activity more easily.
